November Bible Reading Plan: Dandelion Bible in a Year | Comfort & Care Reading Plan
This November Bible reading plan is created especially for anyone who longs to turn God’s love into practical daily action, build warm and caring relationships, and learn how to care for personal needs without becoming overwhelmed or burned out. With just 10–15 minutes of daily reading, we will begin with the wisdom of Proverbs concerning gracious speech, generosity, and friendship. We will then follow Jesus as He washes His disciples’ feet in John 13, experience the shared life and mutual care of the early church in Acts, and learn from Jethro and Elijah how to care for others while also receiving rest, support, and renewal from God. Begin your November devotional journey today.
Welcome to November!
True comfort and care involve more than offering a few kind words. They become a way of life that flows through a loving community. At the same time, God not only calls us to love our neighbours; He also teaches us to receive His rest, recognize our limitations, and lay down burdens we were never meant to carry alone.
This month’s reading journey invites us to find a healthy and faithful balance between loving one another and caring for our own hearts in the Lord.
The November reading plan unfolds through three practical and wisdom-filled stages:
Healing Words and Love Put into Practice (November 1–16): We will learn from Proverbs how gentle, honest, and timely words can heal wounded hearts. In Isaiah 58, we will discover that the fast God desires includes loosening the bonds of wickedness, freeing the oppressed, and sharing bread with the hungry. In John 13, we will watch Jesus wash His disciples’ feet and leave them this command: “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Mutual Care within the Community of Faith (November 17–21): We will enter the shared life of the early church in Acts 2 and 4, where believers worshipped, ate together, and cared for one another’s needs. We will also see how Barnabas, whose name means “The son of consolation,” welcomed and supported Saul when others were still afraid of him. These passages show how encouragement and acceptance can help restore someone who feels isolated, misunderstood, or uncertain.
Caring for Yourself While Caring for Others (November 22–30): We will see Jethro warn an exhausted Moses that carrying every responsibility alone would wear him away. We will then watch God care for Elijah in a season of deep fatigue and discouragement through food, sleep, and a still small voice. Through Psalm 23 and Proverbs, we will learn to guard our hearts, receive God’s rest, and serve others from a place of spiritual renewal rather than exhaustion.
May God’s Word nourish your soul this month, giving you strength to love others and wisdom to care faithfully for the life He has entrusted to you.
Christ’s Example of Loving One Another: Through Jesus washing His disciples’ feet in John 13, learn how humility, practical service, and personal presence make God’s love visible.
Encouragement and Acceptance within the Body of Christ: Through Barnabas’s welcome and support of Saul in Acts 9 and 11, discover how companionship and encouragement can transform the life of someone who feels weak, rejected, or alone.
Receiving Care and Rest When You Are Weary: Through God’s gentle care for Elijah in 1 Kings 19, learn to recognize physical and emotional exhaustion and to guard the peace of your heart, as taught in Proverbs 4.

Become a Barnabas-like encourager:
As you read Acts 9 and 11 on November 19–20, think of someone who may feel misunderstood, discouraged, or alone. Reach out with a sincere word of encouragement or a practical expression of care.
Lay down burdens that are too heavy:
When you read Jethro’s counsel to Moses in Exodus 18 on November 22, consider whether you have accepted more responsibility than you can faithfully carry. Ask God to show you what should be delegated, shared, postponed, or released.
Respect the weariness of your body and soul:
As you read 1 Kings 19 on November 24, remember that when you are deeply exhausted, eating a nourishing meal and receiving sufficient sleep may also be part of God’s gracious care for you.
Are you ready to live out God’s love through mutual care while also receiving deep rest in His presence?
Let us open Proverbs 11 and begin November with a generous heart, remembering that the one who refreshes others will also be refreshed.
